Fashion blogger Rosa Quiavauca, founder of The R Habitat, shares her recommendation on the best places to shop in Soho for an iconic look…
This week I am here with My Soho Times sharing my take on the best fashion stores you can find in the trendy location of Soho. Whilst exploring the vibe of this area, I realised Soho is a place of free-spirited people, which is heavily reflected in its fashion. It is a place to find outstanding, iconic show-off pieces which you can incorporate with your personal look… On with the show!
RIXO (£££)
If you are looking for sequins, metallics, and patterns for your statement pieces – RIXO is the place to go. It recreates the vintage look you need to create variety in your personal style. The owners, Henrietta & Orlagh planted the creation of RIXO in 2015, aiming for easy-to-wear looks that capture the ‘free spirit’. The belts are exquisite and can be added to any single-colour dress/blouse.
AMERICAN VINTAGE (£££)
What I like about American Vintage is the colour scheme of the garments. They are very focused on pastel colours with some pop of intense vibrant shades across the store. I recommend going for staple, long-lasting wear here, so you can use it as a foundation for big eye-catching jewellery. A timeless store, worth the visit.
JW ANDERSON (£££)
My favourite find! Let me tell you; JW ANDERSON symbolises elegance, dominance and style. Fur sleeves are a timeless trend that keeps on serving its significance – get yourself a piece(the white is my favourite). They are a high-end fashion store so when buying, make sure to get something you LOVE (It should be worth the money.)
AXEL ARIGATO (£££)
Axel Arigato brings a cosmic futuristic elements that are hard to ignore! The trainers here are quite unique and have a platform, therefore adding another layer to your personal style. Variety is such a good asset to have when developing your personal identity/brand. How great would you look with some revolutionary Axel Arigato trainers?
MONKI(££)
Soho is best known for its high-end small boutiques where you can often come across some bargain finds. Let’s face it, most cases we don’t all have 6-figures lying around. This is why I loved Monki! I was attracted to the knitwear patterns, sizes and colours which reflected simplicity as well as being spotlight garments. This is located on Carnaby street so remember to check out the Christmas decorations while they are up
FIORUCCI (£££)
Fiorucci in particular is known for one of its features: customisation. A one-of-kind Italian fashion brand that reflects it’s love for art, music and culture. Located in Brewer Street, customers can customise prints, colours and patterns to create their twist on Fiorucci.
This is only a snippet of what you can get over at The R Habitat. Take a visit while you’re here while, we post every Wednesday and Friday. Thanks for reading!
