Wagamama Noodle Lab is Back in Soho with its most Vegan-Friendly menu yet! | My Soho Times

All ye foodies – we come baring great news – Wagamama Noodle Lab is back in Soho with an even hotter menu, and a heightened focus on plant-based options!

This Summer marks the return of the Wagamama Noodle Lab to the vibrant culinary landscape of Soho. Building upon its reputation as a hub for innovation, Noodle Lab serves as a playground for chefs, facilitating endless experimentation with recipes and collabs before the dishes are rolled our onto their menus nationwide. We fondly recall our events and socials back in 2019 in the former Noodle Lab Soho venue (CLICK HERE), and we hope to bring those back!

To inaugurate the new Noodle Lab in Soho, Wagamama proudly presents their unique vegan incarnation of the popular Korean street food item, the “vegan k-dog“. This tantalizing creation features two plant-based Korean corn dogs, encased in a crispy noodle crumb coating, generously drizzled with bold sriracha and turmeric vegan mayo, then garnished with chili, coriander, and red pepper powder.

Additionally, the revamped Noodle Lab menu showcases a plant-based twist on the classic Japanese dish, “pork tonkatsu“. Served atop a bed of sticky rice, this innovative dish features juicy breaded vegan “pork” accompanied by tangy tonkatsu sauce. To complement this delectable offering, guests are treated to a crunchy cabbage slaw tossed in Wagamama’s white miso and mustard dressing, topped with sesame seeds and red chili.

Chef Steve Mangleshot, Global Executive Chef at Noodle Lab, expresses his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome guests to the benches of Noodle Lab on Great Marlborough Street. Our chefs eagerly anticipate showcasing their skills and pushing boundaries to create innovative and groundbreaking dishes. The team has wholeheartedly embraced the challenge of establishing Noodle Lab as a central figure in the UK’s culinary landscape, serving relevant, sustainable, and creative fare.”

In the coming months, Noodle Lab will collaborate with some of the most exciting food innovators across the country. Stay tuned for these exciting partnerships!
