If there is a place in London that boasts an exceptional understanding of European fusion, it is undoubtedly Soho. With deep historical connections to France and Italy, particularly after World War I, Soho has become a hub of cultural exchange and culinary expertise… It seems only fitting that Daroco – the Franco-Italian dining destination – should bring its renowned offbeat Parisian chic and warm Italian hospitality to Soho this Autumn!
Having achieved remarkable success in Paris with two thriving restaurants and a popular cocktail bar located in the 2nd and 16th arrondissements of Paris, the three founders – Alexandre Giesbert, Julien Ross, and Nico de Soto, are all set to launch Daroco in Ilona Rose House on Manette Street. In close vicinity to James Court‘s vibrant community of restaurants (including Milk Bar, Kapara and The Little Scarlet Door), this new establishment promises to offer an exceptional Italian dining experience in a modern trattoria setting. Every dish on the menu will be meticulously prepared in-house, from the freshly made pasta to the wood-fired pizza. The ingredients used will be carefully sourced from various regions across Italy, ensuring the highest quality and authenticity in every bite.
And for those seeking a more intimate experience, venture to the cellar and immerse yourself in the seductive realm of Wacky Wombat, a cocktail bar curated by the imaginative and globe-trotting mixologist, Nico de Soto.
