Back to School: An Exceptional Learning Experience awaits you at CityLit this Term | My Soho Times

New term, new Courses: City Lit invites learners to embrace a new journey this academic year. Our editor Kai Lutterodt heads back to school to discover what’s on at Britain’s largest education college.

My introduction to City Lit was back in the good old 2004. In those days, I could practically roll out of bed into class as I lived just a stone’s throw away in Bruce House, Drury Lane. I was still finding my feet at the time, fresh from completing my A-Levels, and contemplating options before taking on the commitment of going straight to university. And boy, did my feet explore a whirlwind of experimental and exciting courses at City Lit; from contemporary dance, musical theatre, radio presenting, and even trying my hand at writing (skills I’d later use in my role as a journalist and editor) everything from travel tales to children’s books. City Lit became my creative haven, my safety net when I had too much time on my hands, sought a creative outlet, or desperately needed to gain skills in a specific area – if I thought it, they probably had a short course on it! Having such a wide range of creative short courses enhanced my self-development.

And with their shiny Ofsted seal of approval and a fresh new term on the horizon, my sights are back on City Lit to explore what I can take on next… Because let’s face it, learning never gets old, and CityLit offers something for everyone to pursue their dreams! Are you ready to embark on an exciting educational journey?
