There’s a buzz of excitement here at My Soho Times HQ – we’ve only gone and got our hands on this year’s highly anticipated Latest In Beauty advent calendar collaboration with The Sunday Times Style. Is it truly as brilliant as last year’s success? Our beauty contributor Grace Alexandra provides her insightful review to see if it lives up to the hype!
In 2022, Latest in Beauty partnered with The Sunday Times Style to bring you their first ever Beauty Advent Calendar collab. It included a very impressive 21 out of 25 full sized products, with a total value of £810, and retailing at £199.00, offering a huge saving of £611! Some stand out products included, Shiseido’s Wrinkle Smoothing Day Cream, Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Pink Dragonfly, Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream and Kate Somerville’s ExfoliKate!
It comes as no surprise that they’ve joined forces again to release another iconic beauty advent calendar for 2023! This year’s beauty advent calendar retails at £175, and boasts 19 out of 25 full sized products at an overall value of £700. Compared to last year, the 2023 edition is slightly more affordable, possibly reflecting the current economic challenges we face. However, the overall value remains substantial, allowing you to save a significant £525.
Could this year’s Latest In Beauty x Sunday Times Style beauty advent calendar be the best on the market?
Each product included has been hand-picked by Latest in Beauty & STYLE’s beauty team, with approval from esteemed beauty editor Jessica Josse. Like last year, this advent calendar includes a brilliant range of beauty products from skincare, hair care, makeup, and body care. Remarkably, there are no product repeats – the lineup is brand new, and absolutely gorgeous!
I am so impressed with the amount of skincare and hair care products included. From iconic hair care brands such as Living Proof, Amika and Aveeda, to equally as incredible skincare products such as Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream (15ml) , The Body Shop’s Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter (90ml) and Oskia’s Isotonic Hydra-Serum (30ml)! There is a clear focus on hydration, which I LOVE to see-particularly during the colder months!
I thought last year’s Sunday Times Style was pretty impressive, so perhaps it’s no surprise that this year’s collaboration is just as wonderful. With a treat every day, this beauty advent calendar truly is a beauty lover’s dream!

Tatcha The Water Cream (50 ml) RRP: £67.00
I was pleasantly surprised to find Tatcha’s The Water Cream behind door number 1! Typically, you’d expect a smaller filler product. This choice sets a high standard for what to expect. The Sunday Times Style X Latest in Beauty are not here to mess around!
Described as a light weight, clarifying water cream to hydrate, smooth and balance the skin this has been on my wishlist for a long time! The texture is absolutely gorgeous and I love that it comes with a skincare spatula attached to the lid in order to ensure the product is applied hygienically!
Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream (15ml) RRP: £26.00
A viral moisturiser that is beautifully rich and said to give a hydrated, plumper looking complexion.
Rituals Relax Calming Foaming Shower gel (200ml) RRP: £9.90
A really lovely, gentle foaming shower gel that leaves my skin feeling nourished. I love that at first it appears as a gel but quickly lathers into a foam.
111SKIN Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask RRP: £20.00
A hydrogel sheet mask that is described as eliciting radiant, glowy looking skin after one use!
Living Proof Dry Shampoo RRP: £25.00
A brilliant dry shampoo that cleans your hair by absorbing the sweat, odour and oil! It also included time releasing fragrance which leaves your hair fresh as well as appearing clean!
Amika Soulfood Nourishing Mask (250ml) RRP: £26.00
A nourishing hair product, designed for all hair types that can be used as a weekly mask or daily conditioner! It boasts ingredients such as Jojoba oils, fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants to help leave hair healthy and well nourished!
