We can’t kick off a new season without getting your insights on the hair trends you’ve seen over the years. What’s your take on the 2024 hair trend? Is it a blast from the past or something totally new?

I foresee the 2024 hair trend leaning towards long, natural hair. While short bob haircuts continue to make frequent appearances, a notable shift towards ultra-long hair is emerging. Celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra, Margot Robbie, Victoria Beckham, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, have recently embraced lengthy hairstyles, transforming a simple aesthetic into a trend of the moment.

The allure of extra-long hair lies in its effortlessly cool vibe, contrasting with the more high-maintenance impression often associated with short, structured cuts. As we enter 2024, anticipate the resurgence of ultra-long, natural locks as the go-to trend, with celebrities continuing to champion this chic and laid-back aesthetic.

My hair is feeling noticeably drier during the colder months. Do you have any advice to help with this? 

1. Increase the frequency of deep conditioning treatments. Use a rich, moisturising conditioner or hair mask once a week to replenish lost moisture.
2. Reduce the use of heat styling tools such as hairdryers, straighteners, and curling irons. If you must use them, apply a heat protectant spray to minimise damage.
3. Wash your hair with lukewarm or cool water instead of hot water. Hot water can strip away natural oils, contributing to dryness.

5. Regular trims help get rid of split ends and prevent further damage. Aim for a trim every 6-8 weeks to maintain healthy hair.

SHINE: What made you decide on the lovely coconut scent for your Coconut Shine products? 

Coconut is actually the most requested and shopped fragrance across haircare currently and on a personal level it reminds me of holidays in the sun and all things good in life

CURL: How does the curl range help to reduce frizz and improve curl definition? And would you suggest this for hair that struggles to hold curls? 

Curl Control contains grapeseed oil which is light and easily absorbed by the hair, providing moisture without weighing down the curls. This is crucial for curly hair, which tends to be drier and more prone to frizz.

The oil also helps enhance the natural shine of curly hair, promoting a healthy and vibrant appearance. It creates a glossy finish without leaving the hair greasy. Its moisturising properties also help to reduce frizz in curly hair, contributing to a smoother and more controlled appearance.

Grapeseed oil is also rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant known for promoting hair health. It helps nourish the hair, strengthen the strands, and protect against environmental damage.

And finally, curly hair benefits from ingredients that help define and shape curls. Grapeseed oil assists in maintaining the natural curl pattern, ensuring well-defined and bouncy curls.

RADIANT BLONDE: How do these products work to restore radiance in blonde hair?
