Writing about anything wedding-related is not a topic I had anticipated delving into. However, my cousin Freda’s recent engagement followed by her meticulous planning for a simple yet stunning Central London wedding may have contributed to my sudden intrigue. This, combined with an invitation to preview Halfpenny London’s new SPEAK collection earlier this spring at The Maine, Mayfair was enough to tie the knot in my interest!

Dominique dress
This gown offers a boned, square-necked bodice and full mikado skirt adorned with delicate floral lace. The integrated petticoat ensures the skirt maintains its elegant shape. Pockets provide practicality for keeping essentials at hand on your special day. Whether worn alone or paired with the detachable Dominique sleeves, this ensemble offers versatility to create different looks as the wedding day unfolds.

Dominique Sleeves
These triple-bubble, silk organza statement sleeves can be chosen with or without an overlay of delicate floral lace. The organza material ensures that they maintain their volume and can be styled either to the wrist or ruched on the arm, depending on personal preference. These detachable sleeves are securely fastened to either the Dominique dress or the Victoria dress using concealed poppers.
Dominique Veil
Featuring a stunning long train, this veil is made using a dense lace and looks incredible worn over a simple dress to add texture to a look. Wear it over the face or tiered down the back.

Victoria Dress
This gown offers a modern twist on a classic shape. The Victoria dress features a boned, square-necked bodice and a full mikado skirt with hidden pockets. Wear it on its own, or pair it with a pair of detachable sleeves to change your look throughout the day.

Ada Dress
At the beginning Halfpenny London, nearly 20 years ago, Kate extensively incorporated the most exquisite French lace into her collection. This dress pays homage to the brand’s heritage, complemented here by Halfpenny’s India slip dress. The Ada features a lace overlay in a modern fit and flare silhouette, adorned with contrasting trim at the wrists and neck, covered buttons, and box-pleated shoulder detail, creating a striking, square shape. This dress strikes the perfect balance between contemporary and traditional elements.

Ada Veil
This stunning veil is made using a delicate floral French lace with a scalloped trim. Wear it over the face or tiered down the back.

Greta Dress
A sophisticated halter neck gown boasting a plunging neckline and an alluring open back. The fit and flare silhouette is accentuated by an empire line waist and a stunning, round train, available in a choice of matte crepe or silk.
Kimmy Cape
A soft tulle cape that streams from a beautiful fitted Mikado jacket. The shoulder pads and sharp lines of Mikado emphasise the softness of the tulle while beautifully crafted details like the curved back add an extra point of interest.

Emma Veil
The Emma veil makes a bold statement with its design. It is crafted from silk organza and is attached to the top of the head using a comb, creating a cocoon effect around the body and gathering at the hem. For an optional embellishment, handcrafted silk organza flowers, repurposed from off-cuts, can be added. This versatile veil can be worn ruched at the waist or lower on the hips, offering a fashion-forward appearance.

Tra Tra
The craftsmanship of this garment is truly remarkable. A supportive corset foundation is gracefully adorned with fluid satin, accentuating its pointed edges, as a split skirt cascades into an elegant train.
Amy sleeves
A mini version of our popular Sun sleeves, these spherical sleeves can be paired with any of our strapless dresses and tops. A wide strip of elastic is hidden at the top ensuring they stay in place and they’re fitted with a stretch Duchess satin lining. Available in taffeta (shown here), satin, mikado or lace, they gather beautifully and are a fabulous way to completely change the look of a simple dress.

Khalo Veil
The perfect Something Blue! This Chantilly lace veil is designed to be floor length at the front and short at the back to showcase an incredible back detail or a beautiful train on your dress. Alternatively, it can be spun around, long at the back with a short blusher over the face.
Halfpenny London wedding dresses are crafted to order, requiring an average of 6 months to complete.
