The central line isn’t a usual part of my London commute on a Monday morning, however today I found myself thankful to be at the right place, at the right time – just in time to meet Willow Smith and a Prada entourage at Tottenham Court Road station for a musical appearance to launch her Prada Linea Rossa Fall/Winter collection.
The Whip My Hair star, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, has paved a name for herself irrespective of her famous parents. Willow’s also part of the addictive Facebook show, Red Table Talk which she’s gained a reputation for being wise beyond her 18 years, having some of the most open and honest conversations alongside her mother, Jada, and grandmother, Gammy.
Joined by fellow Soho resident and creative Ari, we boldly followed the crowed through the central line platform. I managed share an IG Live as the action took place, thanks to wifi connection on the underground.
I’ve always taken a liken to Willow, however my admiration grew stronger today when she stopped the Prada entourage from dismissing a busker in their path… Instead Willow jammed along to his music, living off a vibe of appreciation from one musician to another (pretty sure that part wasn’t planned!)

The pièce de résistance was guitar accapella by Willow which showed off her belting voice and musical talent. After her first song she asked the crowd “Should I do another one?” and without hesitation the response was “YES!“… A midmorning treat for commuters who whipped out their phones in disbelief that Willow Smith was just casually busking on the Central Line!
