Half term is here! Thinking of what to do with the little ones? Now’s a great time to take a trip down memory lane with The Hummingbird Bakery for their limited edition cake collection to mark 40 years of the children’s book classic Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg.
This October, Puffin is thrilled to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. Featuring iconic and nostalgic illustrations, repetitive rhythms and humour, Funnybones is loved by grandparents, parents, and children alike, and remains a firm favourite on bookshelves year after year.
This Halloween, Puffin are celebrating this classic book’s 40th anniversary with an upsized edition, complete with a spook-tacular glow in the dark cover to brighten up your dark, dark house. In celebration, The Hummingbird Bakery is offering a selection of special edition Funnybones cupcakes and layer cakes to mark 40 years since Funnybones was first published in 1980, and to welcome this new anniversary edition.
In addition to the 40th anniversary of Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, 2020 also marks 80 years of storytelling from Puffin.

A tempting Funnybones layer cake, perfect for sharing with the family this Halloween, will also be online only in Vanilla flavour. All products are baked fresh and decorated by hand using The Hummingbird Bakery’s authentic American recipes.
