OLIO is a free app (mobile & web) that connects neighbours with each other and volunteers with local businesses, so surplus food can be shared, not thrown away. If you love food, hate waste, care about the environment or want to connect with your community, OLIO is for you.
Olio’s recent partnership with Tesco means that surplus food Tesco stores, locally and across in the UK, are listed on food sharing app and distributed through OLIO Food Waste Heroes, in a drive to reduce waste and help those in need. By spring 2021, OLIO Food Waste Heroes will be able to collect from all Tesco stores that aren’t serviced daily by charities, and hundreds of thousands of items of food will be rescued every single month.

Learn more about the role & sign up to register as a FWH (Food Waste Hero).
Complete training modules
Complete a series of training modules (videos & online quiz format) to be fully prepared as FWH – you’ll be guided through the process!
Claim a collection
Claim any available collection slot in your area through Olio’s Volunteer Hub.
