And it went like this… My Soho Times Autumn magazine launch party at The Little Scarlet Door!

Firstly a BIG THANK YOU to all those who attended the My Soho Times autumn print issue party at The Little Scarlet Door. What a vibrant and diverse crowd we had celebrate our humble hyper local print magazine. Editor-in-chief and founder Kai aka The Soho Girl shares more from the night… print ain’t dead!

It’s taken me 19 years to really feel a sense of purpose in my community, and I wasn’t about to let that recognition pass without a celebration of all my wins – even the small ones too. As much as I love to party, it was really important that I could share a few words about what we (My Soho Times team) do, and why we chose to bring everyone together. I didn’t quite get through my speech without being interrupted by someone wanting to have the limelight (turned out to be a Drag Queen… there’s only space for one Queen on the mic at a time, darling!), but then I’m used to it, this is Soho after all!

So I’ll use this opportunity to breakdown the various elements of My Soho Times as a lifestyle platform – get in touch to discuss any of these aspects further.

My Soho Times Magazine: print & online

My Soho Times started in 2012 (rebranded in 2015) as a blog about my general ramblings living the heart of London. In the Winter of 2019 we founded our first print issue and have since produced 10 issues online and in print. We’ve been dubbed ‘The Tine Out for Soho!’

The rise in cost of living has meant we’ve had to put a £5 price tag on our magazines for the first time to support our print costs. As we’re self-funded, we need the backing of local, national and international businesses and organisations with a target audience in London’s West End to take up annual partnerships with us if we’re to be sustainable. To enquire about adverting and partnerships please email kai@mysohotimes.co.uk or call for a chat.

Venue Finding Service & Group Bookings

We’ve now launched a boutique-style venue finding and group bookings services extended to our immediate contacts and corprate clients. Thanks to our work promoting local businesses in Soho and across the West End we’ve become well connected, and would love to pass on our ‘in the know’ expertise to you. Please email bookings@mysohotimes.co.uk, or tori@mysohotimes.co.uk to make your group bookings or venue finding enquires.

Events & Partnerships

As you can see from our recent autumn party – we’re pretty good at organising events. From launch parties, to panel discussions, and professional networking events – we’re passionate about brining people together.

We’re always on the lookout for businesses – local or not so, as long as your target audience can be found in London’s West End – to partner with. Partnership packages range from events, advertising in our magazine and sponsorship for our new Podcast (more on that in next month’s newsletter!). Please get in touch to discuss any partnership interests: kai@mysohotimes.co.uk

We’re ready for Press!

My Soho Times is a black-owned, predominately under 40 yrs female-lead platform… There aren’t very many who look like us in decision-making positions in Soho, and that’s what makes us stand out even more! We’ve been quiet for a long time, however now more than ever we’re ready to let all of London – in fact, make that the world – know that My Soho Times is here! And since the world comes to Soho, I like to think of My Soho Times as the first point of call for all things lifestyle related in Central London! It was great to meet so many members of the press at our event. Please help us get the word out! Get in touch with us for any comment, interviews, or connections to people who LIVE WORK PLAY in Soho!
