For an evening celebrating and sampling the best whiskies in the world at London’s oldest whisky specialists, Milroy’s of Soho, we extended an invitation to food and drink video content specialist, Shrikant Shelar to capture the experience.

Lead by esteemed Master Distiller, Iain McAlister, the evening included exploring the history of Glen Scotia distillery and the renaissance of Scotland’s smallest whisky-making region, alongside a guided tasting of the award-winning collection of drams, including the latest Double Cask Rum.

Artist, Alice Angus, a member of the Distillers’ Art Collective, shared her experience of uncovering the heritage, people, landscape, and wildlife of Campbeltown through a live discussion and sketching session. Alice’s recent collaborated with Glen Scotia on a series of artworks to bring to life the knowledge, engineering and ingredients involved in the creation of the ‘golden spirit’ that matures in Glen Scotia’s warehouses. Glen Scotia’s 25-Year-Old Single Malt was awarded ‘Best In Show’ at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2021, and in the same year also named ‘Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year‘ at the Scottish Whisky Awards. It is the first time a whisky distillery has received both accolades. In 2022, Glen Scotia’s Victoriana was awarded ‘Best In Class’ in the Distillers’ Single Malt Scotch – No Age Statement category at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
