Set your objectives
Before you get started, think about what your goals are as your strategy will depend on what you want to achieve.
Increase followers
If you want to increase exposure, then follower count is a key metric to focus on. Set yourself milestones and think realistically about timelines. Think about connecting with influencers or running competitions to drive new followers.
Increase engagement
Engagement is a great metric to focus on as ultimately it underpins how well all other goals can be achieved. Focus on the quality of your content and inject personality into your posts.
Create a connection with your audience and make them resonate with your brand. Likes and comments will make the algorithm push your content out to more users!
Improve brand reputation
Good marketing strategies are not just about making people know about your brand, but what they know about your brand. Think about what current perceptions are and what you want them to be and create a story to help you get there.
Drive traffic to your website
Assuming you have the right cookies and pixels installed, driving traffic to your website can allow you to remarket to your audience and you can also prompt them to sign up to your newsletter so you have their data. Your website is the first touchpoint in converting your followers into customers.
Generate sales / leads
If your goal is to increase sales, think about using Instagram so that people can buy products directly from your page. Depending on your business, LinkedIn can also be a great platform to generate leads.
Stay tuned for p.2 where Sumaia shares insight into understanding your data and target audience, competitor research, leverage the best platforms for your business, and think about your content bank.
