1. UBA Shoreditch

If you happen to find me in East London, it’ll most likely be in Shoreditch. It’s just a bus 55 ride away, or a 20-minute cycle, which I prefer over sitting in London traffic. Shoreditch is in many ways similar to Soho; trendy, vibrant, and innovative. A new addition to the food scene is UBA, a pan-Asian restaurant nestled in the Hart Shoreditch hotel. If the launch event is any indication, the food will leave you wanting more!

2. Tooth Angel

If an invite to a launch event at 180 Studios comes into my inbox, you can bet it’ll get my attention. I love the cosy vibes of their apartment-style meeting rooms. I recently had the pleasure of attending the launch of Tooth Angel, an eco-friendly dental care brand, founded by Dr Shameek Popat. Innovative products include a deluxe toothpaste, deluxe toothbrush and replaceable head, plus some super soft floss in mint and cinnamon (the latter is a win for me!).

3. Miller Harris

To celebrate the launch of Miller Harris Stories, I was invited to Covent Garden’s NoMad Hotel to attend a panel discussion on the ‘narrative of scent’ hosted by Pandora Sykes. Panellists included Psychotherapist & Author Tasha Bailey and the collection’s perfumers; Emilie Bouge, Mathieu Nardin and Karine Vinchon-Spehner. Guests had the pleasure of sampling the Stories Collection. My personal fave is the Soufflot, which had warm notes.

Mildred’s Victoria

London’s favorite plant-based restaurant Mildred’s has opened its latest branch in Victoria. I was invited to sample the brunch menu with friends, and let’s just say, this place satisfies all tastebuds!

4. Eyelash Emporium

I don’t really wear much makeup, so when it comes to the eyes, I need my lashes to do the talking!  I had the pleasure of attending Eyelash Emporium‘s Lash School event at Covent Garden’s cool cocktail venue, Mrs Riot. The event showcased all the new look lashes now available at Superdrug, plus there was an insightful masterclass from a pro MUA. Cocktails and nibbles flowed and we took home a generous goody bag of lashes and lash accessories.

5. Taste of London

At the same time as the Eyelash Emporium event, Taste London’s preview event was also happening at the Mandrake in Fitzrovia. I felt like a real-life London version of Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw, popping from events hoping not to be missed by my +1s! Now in its 20th year, Taste of London takes place at Regent’s Park from the 12th to the 16th of June!

6. Spreyburn Whisky

Spreyburn, the Scottish whisky brand, recently revamped its classic Speyside single malt Scotch with a new look. The press event was held at the London Canal Museum, following a short boat ride from Granary Square’s Copper Quay. At the museum, attendees enjoyed whisky-based cocktails, toasties, games, and music. Interesting observation, whisky and reggae make a great combo, I was vibing to the DJ’s playlist!

7. Experimental Perfume Club

Covent Garden’s Experimental Perfume Club launched its latest fragrance last night with a summer party event that included an origami workshop by paper artist Cristian Marianciuc. The bubbly flowed as did non-alcoholic drinks, and a chance to sample Pistachio Haiku – the brand’s perfume ode to summer which I thought has an intriguing faint huskiness of roasted pistachio shells… being in my “Green with Envy SZN”, my outfit fit the theme coincidentally!
