Pride Month started on a colourful note with the newly opened Co-op returning to Berwick Street after six years. The prelaunch event offered a sneak peek inside the store and its many amenities.

The new 2,320 sq ft store on Berwick Street will run on 100% renewable electricity, opening between 7am-11pm seven days a week.
The store includes a bakery, Costa Coffee machine and offers tasty treats including Yo Sushi and Dots Donuts. It also serves hot food, alongside an improved focus on fresh, healthy produce. Ready meals and pizzas, award-winning wines, free-from and vegan products, Fairtrade, food-to-go and, everyday essentials are also widely available.
A Water Tap has been fitted in the store that allows customers to refill their own water bottles for drinking purposes. It also allows donations to be made to water charities with the touch of a button.

Christopher Joell-Deshields, executive director of Pride in London shared;
‘It’s fantastic to see the Co-op return to the heart of Soho, a diverse and cultural part of London. The Soho community should be proud to have such a vibrant store that is also committed to supporting local causes. It’s also jubilant that the store opening coincides with Pride Month and that the Co-op have donated £1000.00 to Pride in London’s Unity fund which supports grassroot LGBT+ organisations.’
We look forward to learning more about the local causes in Soho Co-op will be supporting.
Happy Pride Month!
