When it comes to partying in London, Soho has always been the place to be. And now this square mile has solidified its status as the ultimate house party hotspot with the arrival of its newest residents: The Little Violet Door and Stormzy’s House Party, both on a mission to bring back that nostalgic old-school vibe… So, with two housewarmings in one night, which one do you head to? Well, both, obviously! And the rest, you could say, is history the party’s just getting started! Our designated girl about town, Kai Lutterodt aka The Soho Girl shares more.

The Little Violet Door, brought to you by The Little Door & Co, has boldly arrived in Soho’s Carnaby with all the subtlety of a herd of elephants on roller skates!.. Surely I wasn’t the only one predicting a new “little door” opening, right? I had, however hoped it might be a sparkly gold door, but I’ll take violet! Known for redefining the House Party genre, the bar group is famous for its colourful ‘flat-share’ concept to the hospitality scene, having successfully launched The Little Yellow Door in Notting Hill, The Little Blue Door in Fulham, The Little Orange Door in Clapham, and The Little Scarlet Door in Soho. With its newest arrival, think kitchen discos, late-night cocktails, and good vibes for all… Don’t forget to capture the obligatory bathroom selfie!

Formerly the swanky home to the iconic ‘60s music venue Bag O’Nails, step behind the statement Violet door and brace yourself for a wild mishmash of eclectic and contemporary interiors. Oh and prepare yourself for some severe flat envy! Expect walls adorned with colourful prints, disco balls, and shelves overflowing with an impressive collection of books and records, because why not? The flat boasts that distinctive lived-in feel – it’s like stepping into a real-life home, with a twist. Each room has its own carefully curated identity, adding to the charm and the shenanigans. I think I’ve found a new fave hangout in Soho… but don’t tell Scarlet!
Fancy hosting a flat party of your own? Hire the basement area for an invite-only soirée. The best part? There’s no post-party clear-up!

House Party
A disruptive concept bar has just entered Soho’s nightlife scene: House Party is the rebellious sibling of the fancy nightclubs and bars in the West End… and I’m here for it!
The brainchild of British-Ghanaian musician, Stormzy, and the hospitality group that brought Cirque Le Soir, Reign and Dear Darling hotspots to the scene, Cream Group. The innovative concept launched with a star-studded housewarming party on Thursday 6th June, followed by its official opening on Friday & Saturday with a special £1 drinks promo!

House Party comes fully equipped with red cups, cozy sofas, endless pizzas, and delightful chaos, all without the hassle of planning and tidying up (trust me, I’ve been there as a Soho resident for the past 20 years; the post-party clean-up is no joke!). With seven unique floors resembling different rooms in a typical home (channelling rich aunty vibes), this experience goes above and beyond, featuring immersive actors, performers, and interactive surprises to truly bring the party to life. This is set to be the only place in London where bedroom-DJs-turned-headliners will once again become bedroom DJs!

Private areas are available to book on every floor including the Basement, Kitchen & Hallway, Treehouse, Living Room, Master Bedroom, Kids Bedroom & Roof Terrace.

Finally, the pressure’s off me to throw a house party in my little Soho flat (those days are now truly over)! As the unofficial representative for Soho nightlife (I take my job very seriously!), I reckon I did a pretty dutiful job welcoming my new neighbours, wouldn’t you say?! Let me know which party you’re heading to, or do like me and hit up both…
Welcome to the neighbourhood at The Little Violet Door and House Party!
