Brunch lovers, this one’s for you! Mayfair: Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay

Opened in 2019, Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay is a culinary gem that reflects the chef’s extensive travels throughout Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and China. The menu at Lucky Cat is exceptional, offering a delightful adventure that thoughtfully explores a variety of Asian cuisines. However, for a more informal and laidback setting, immerse yourself in the vibrant Lucky Cat atmosphere with their unmissable weekend brunches, perfect for a special occasion or a well-deserved treat! The brunch menu (from £75pp), while concise, includes a selection of standout dishes (including vegetarian options). Dishes include beef gyoza, Laos spring rolls, and teriyaki salmon rice bowls —paired with bottomless prosecco, of course. For an extra touch of indulgence, consider upgrading to champagne (+ £20) and adding a dessert (+ £10pp) to your meal for a truly opulent experience. Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays 12pm-4pm.

Fitzrovia: 1905 London

For a brunch experience that takes you to the Mediterranean climate of the Greek islands, 1905 London (Nineteen-0-Five) is a unique choice! Specialising in Cretan cuisine, this menu may evoke nostalgic memories of the island’s delightful flavours. Unfortunately, I’ve never visited Crete, so I had little frame of reference. My choice from the brunch menu, the Voutas (similar to Middle Eastern Shakshuka), didn’t quite “wow” me despite being the waitress’ top recommendation. However, from the à la carte menu, I loved the Boutreki (£17) – a Cretan cheese and potato filo pastry pie served with natural yogurt, and The Cretan Pot (£15.50) – a traditional salad creatively served in a plant pot, was visually delightful and refreshing. Brunch ends at 1pm on weekends. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore their extensive wine list too!
