At last month’s International Women’s Day breakfast hosted at The Ivy Club Loft in partnership with Yardley London, the conversation centred on legacy in its most personal form. The morning marked the launch of The Murray Bruce Matriarch: A Family Portrait of Margaret Dolly Murray-Bruce by June Angelides MBE, Joy Murray-Bruce and Jessica Akintoye — a tribute to a woman whose influence spanned generations. As family members, speakers and guests reflected on Margaret “Mama” Murray-Bruce’s life, the theme was clear: legacy isn’t just what we achieve, but what we leave behind in others.
