Ronnie Scott’s Free Street Party Returns to Soho This August – Here’s What You Need to Know | My Soho Times

Few venues are as synonymous with Soho as Ronnie Scott’s. This summer, the world-famous jazz club is once again taking its music beyond its four walls, transforming Frith Street into a free open-air celebration of live music on Saturday 1 August 2026.

Running from 11.30am to 4.30pm, the Street Party will see jazz, soul, R&B, gospel and hip hop spill out onto the streets, with live performances, DJs, outdoor bars and a festival atmosphere in the heart of Soho.

First launched in 2019 to celebrate the club’s 60th anniversary, the Ronnie Scott’s Street Party returned last summer and is back once again for 2026, inviting Londoners and visitors alike to experience the spirit of one of Soho’s most legendary music institutions — without stepping through its famous doors.

This year’s line-up brings together an exciting mix of established names and rising stars, led by GRAMMY Award-winning duo Blue Lab Beats, alongside Daniel Casimir Big Band, Shae Universe, Guvna B, Summer Pearl, NEONE the Wonderer, GRAMN., Jackson Mathod, Marlon the Pannist and the much-loved Ronnie Scott’s Gospel Choir.

Organisers expect between 1,000 and 2,000 visitors to fill Frith Street throughout the day, with DJs, family-friendly entertainment and outdoor bars adding to the celebration.

Celebrating the UK’s grassroots music venues

More than just a free day of live entertainment, this year’s event shines a light on the UK’s grassroots music scene.

Ronnie Scott’s has partnered with Music Venue Trust and Save Our Scene to highlight the vital role grassroots music venues play in developing new talent. Visitors will be able to learn more about the organisations’ work to support independent venues, many of which continue to face significant financial pressures despite renewed national attention on the sector.

Fred Nash, Managing Director of Ronnie Scott’s, said:

“Every artist starts somewhere. Before the festivals, the awards and the headline tours, there are independent venues where musicians can experiment, find their voice and connect with audiences for the first time. Those spaces are absolutely essential to the health of British music.”

“The UK is home to one of the most vibrant grassroots jazz scenes in the world, with venues providing vital spaces for artists to develop their craft, experiment, collaborate and connect with audiences.”

The partnership highlights the importance of the independent venues where artists can build their careers — from their first performances to international stages.

This year’s line-up also reflects the diversity of the UK’s current music scene. GRAMMY Award-winning duo Blue Lab Beats have amassed more than 84 million global streams, while award-winning bassist Daniel Casimir is recognised as one of the leading figures in contemporary British jazz. They are joined by Shae Universe, triple MOBO Award winner Guvna B, and a host of emerging artists spanning jazz, soul, R&B and hip hop.

Two stages for 2026

One noticeable change this year is the introduction of two outdoor stages on Frith Street, allowing performances to take place across both the North and South stages throughout the afternoon.

For anyone who attended last year’s event, this will be a welcome addition, helping to spread performances across the site as thousands of visitors are expected to descend on Soho once again.

Our advice? Get there early.

Last year’s Street Party attracted huge crowds and Frith Street filled up quickly, making it difficult to get close to the performances once the event was in full swing. With another bumper turnout expected this year, getting there early will give you the best chance of securing a good spot and soaking up the atmosphere.
