June 27th – LGBT Conference. Countries across the world are invited to London to attend the UK’s first global LGBT conference in June 2022. ‘Safe To Be Me’ will be the largest event of its kind and will focus on making progress on legislative reform, tackling violence and discrimination, and ensuring equal access to public services for LGBT people. Conference Chair Nick Herbert (Lord Herbert of South Downs) has also been appointed by the PM as the UK’s Special Envoy on LGBT rights to promote the conference and champion LGBT equality at home and abroad.
June 30 – Celebrating the anniversary of Pride, explore the LGBT+ people and places of Marylebone’s history. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pride Month, and ahead of this years Pride in London Parade, join us on this guided walk visiting the history of LGBT+ in Marylebone from rock stars to royalty and royal spies to writers. July 2 – Rising Strong Workshop for Gay, Bi & Queer Men. Rising Strong is a process based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability – the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome – is the only path to more love, belonging, creativity and joy. July 2 – London Gay Pride Parade: The Pride in London parade will be held on Saturday 2nd July 2022. This year is a significant year for the Pride movement and the LGBT+ community as we commemorate 50 Years since the first Pride took place in the United Kingdom. The route of the parade will encompass key landmarks of the UK’s LGBT+ movement and kicks off at Hyde Park, where the first post-march picnic took place. www.prideinlondon.org/parade/map
