It occurred in March 2004, barely six months after I moved to Soho at the age of 18. Though I’d always prided myself on being street savvy, for the first time, the news of a young black woman being killed in this area instilled a sense of fear in me.
Many crimes in Soho often go unheard or unresolved, and while we promote the area as a vibrant lifestyle destination, it is crucial to confront the reality of the crime epidemic that affects Soho, much like any cosmopolitan nightlife hub.
