Our editor-in-chief, The Soho Girl, shares how a date night in Marylebone turned into capturing a spontaneous ‘White Christmas’ moment, as last night’s snowfall transformed Central London into a winter wonderland…







My Sunday’s are usually very chilled (no pun intended!). By that I mean the only activity that gets me out of the house is a trip to my local gym for an hour, after which the rest of my day would be spent snuggled in bed with a duvet watching movies working leisurely from my laptop. Last night however was slightly different. I accepted a date night at Delamina Kitchen which took me out of Soho (always a nice change), into neighbouring Marylebone village for a medley of Middle Eastern-style sharing plates and drinks.


After our meal and conversations which went beyond a typical 1.5hr / 2hr restaurant sitting, as though on cue, it began to snow as we left to go our separate ways; him heading right further into Marylebone, and me left towards Oxford Street and Soho. Here’s what I captured on my ‘White Christmas’ stroll home…
It dawned on me that had my date not chosen a venue outside of Soho I most likely wouldn’t have experienced this magical moment strolling home in the snow, past the world renowned lights of Regent Street, Oxford Street, and public digital art exhibition W1Curates, into Soho and home where my own winter wonderland awaited…
